While sports media experience dominates his resume, his professional passions also include hard news journalism and documentary filmmaking. Regarding the latter, Eric achieved festival success with his 2018 doc "Learning the Ropes," co-directed with Trenton Daeschner.

As a proud Texas Ex, Eric enjoys supporting Longhorn football and basketball on weekends, as well as rock climbing, playing soccer, and being near water. He is an avid traveller – especially to Spain, where he has close family – and relishes any opportunity to travel for work. His dream is to direct an Oscar-winning documentary.
